Learner Outcomes

  • Understand the meaning and nature of general distribution and warehousing as part of today's business operations.
  • Review existing and potential distribution and warehouse network strategy and model options and evaluate the challenges and opportunities of each.
  • Describe the varied stages involved in a typical warehouse environment.
  • Explain several options businesses have available for the distribution of their product.
  • Understand the ways that organizations can develop risk mitigation strategies within their warehouse and distribution environments.
  • Review the types of operational metrics and key performance indicators (KPI's) associated with these environments.
