LMY0121 - Group Piano for Beginners (Ages 8 to 11)
Course Description
Begin your piano journey in this live, interactive, online class. Students will start at the very beginning and focus on keyboard geography, beginning music notation, finger exercises, and playing short songs on the piano. Instruction includes group activities and individual attention. Students must have an instrument at home for class and daily practice. Materials purchased separately.Course Outline

The Preparatory Piano Program
The program consists of a combination of group and private instruction for ages 6-14. Group lessons offer students peer reinforcement, social interaction, ensemble experience, and group activities. Private lessons give students the necessary individual attention for technical development and interpretive and expressive insights. By combining these two approaches, students receive a comprehensive 15-week curriculum. Students will participate in one 30-minute private lesson and one 50-minute group lesson each week. All students taking private lessons for the first time must fill out the application included on this page. Once you're registered, our Piano Facilitator will get in touch with you regarding the times, days, and dates of the group portion of the program. Your instructor, meanwhile, will coordinate with you regarding private lessons.
All private lessons are held at Harper College's main campus.
