Harper College's Law Enforcement Program has partnered with seven local villages to provide a live virtual event for anyone desiring to be a police officer. Learn everything you need to know about becoming a police officer through this comprehensive workshop. Subject matter experts will provide you with key insight into the various stages of the selection process; written examination, physical ability (P.O.W.E.R.) test, oral interview, polygraph, psychological, and background investigation. The workshop will provide you an opportunity to speak with local police department representatives about the traits and skills they’re looking for in police officer candidates. Newly hired police officers will also be in attendance to answer any questions you may have about the hiring process, the police academy, and field training. The primary goal of this workshop is to prepare you with all the information you need to be successful in becoming a police officer.
