LRP0001 - ServSafe Food Sanitation Manager
Course Description
Learn food safety practices to protect individuals from food-borne illness and gain the knowledge needed to become certified as a Food Service Sanitation Manager. This course is a nationally approved, ANSI accredited course and is designed to meet the requirements of local, state, and federal guidelines. As part of the course tuition and fee, students will receive a course manual and scantron for the exam on the day of class. The exam will be administered in the last 2 hours of the course. With prior arrangement, the exam can be taken in Spanish.

The Illinois Department of Public Health requires all food service operations that prepare and serve food to have a certified food service manager on the premises at all times when food is being handled. To receive the Food Service Sanitation Manager Certification an employee must take an approved 8-hour training course and take the exam, which immediately follows the course.
- BRING: Photo ID
- You must arrive promptly by 8:00 am
- Passing exam grade = 70% or higher
- Certification is valid for 5 years, after which re-certification is required
- Materials will be provided on the day of the class/exam
- Exam results are available within 7-10 days
