For drones or planes this is your first step toward becoming a pilot. You will learn about aerodynamics, weight and balance, aviation weather, regulations and human factors. We will examine the function of flight controls, airports and airspace. Successful completion of the class will prepare you for the FAA Private Pilot Written Exam. Field trips to DuPage Airport will be available to: tour an active control tower, work with operational aircraft and fly a flight simulator. Finally, most new drone enthusiasts do not realize the liability risk of flying a drone without proper certification. Action is now enforceable by civil and federal authorities. This class will bring you up to date whether your intention is to fly a drone commercially or for recreation.
