LMY0035 - Solo Singing: Pop and Rock
Course Description
Do you love singing along to your favorite songs on the radio and dream of taking your pop or rock voice to the next level? This course is designed specifically for aspiring singers who want to develop their skills, explore modern popular music styles, and gain confidence as performers! Whether you're a complete beginner or have some experience, this class will give you the tools to grow as a vocalist and performer in a fun, supportive environment. Throughout the course, we’ll focus on building proper vocal technique and stage presence, tailored to the unique demands of contemporary singing styles. You’ll learn how to increase your vocal range, improve your volume and tone, and master techniques that will help you shine in genres like pop, rock, folk, country, hip hop, and even musical theatre. We’ll also explore exciting genre fusions—such as folk/country/hip hop—to expand your versatility as an artist.
As part of the course, students will prepare two vocal selections—one from musical theatre and one from pop music. Disney songs are encouraged for those who enjoy their timeless charm and storytelling qualities. You’ll have the chance to perform these pieces in front of family and friends during our final showcase. This celebratory event will feature solo performances from each student as well as a group song or two for added fun.
All materials, including the book, are included in the course fee.
