Course Description

The ukulele, that lovable little four-stringed instrument, is everywhere in pop music today. From George Harrison to Train to Bruno Mars to Jason Mraz and Zooey Deschanel, we cannot get enough! Learn to play the uke and get a great introduction to other fretted instruments including guitar, mandolin, and banjo. Students will enhance their playing technique; develop listening skills, rhythmic accuracy, and learn chord progressions. The group will cover a variety of genres that can range from country, folk, and blues to bluegrass. No experience required. An update will be provided regarding the ability for Harper to provide musical instruments for individuals who require this service.
