This introductory course develops listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills in German and introduces students to cultures and peoples of the German-speaking world. It is designed for students with no previous experience with German. All students who have prior German experience or have taken classes in German at other schools must contact Professor Jaeger at kjaeger@harpercollege.edu for appropriate course placement.

This is a flex course, meaning it may be taken in person and/ or online live. Flex (in-person and online live) class sessions take place Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:45-7:25pm in L-323 and online.

These sessions will be recorded and made available to students. You must have access to a computer with reliable internet access, web cam, and microphone, and have basic computer skills if you choose to participate online. Students may move in and out of the two modes based on learning preferences and/ or their life circumstances, but are encouraged to attend in person, if possible.
