Course Description

Stone   a material that is hard to carve…Yet man and natural forces have been doing so for millennia. This material can last giving us a look into the past and wonder how and why these monuments were created. What natural forces were at work? What people thought enough about the creation of the monuments to create them out of stone to last for thousands and thousands of years? Stonehenge or the pyramids and the sphinx are just a small sample of what monuments remain to excite our curiosity. But let us not forget the monuments that nature creates that arouse our curiosity as well!
