Course Description

Given the huge shortfall of qualified caregivers, the Baby Boomer generation will face significant unmet care needs. As a result, family members may be directly responsible for taking on the caregiving role.

This course will help you to:

(1) gain insight into the range of care challenges and transitions;

(2) understand the legal/financial parameters and support resources; and

(3) assess your own strengths/limitations as a potential family caregiver.
Participants will benefit from sharing with each other in a setting that aims for cultural sensitivity and appreciation for the complexities of family relationships and the caregiving experience.
