Course Description
Join The Do Good Movement staff for an exciting and energizing summer camp experience focusing on health and wellness through movement, breathwork, and community service. This unique program combines elements of yoga, kung fu, qi gong, and tai chi to create a fun and engaging environment for kids to build strength, flexibility, and mindfulness.Course Outline
Movement & Martial Arts: Explore yoga poses and stretches, practice kung fu-inspired moves and poses, and learn basic footwork and drills from qi gong and tai chi.
Activities include both dynamic movements and still holds, helping kids develop balance, coordination, and focus. Breathwork & Meditation: Learn calming and energizing breathwork techniques to center the mind and body. We’ll use tools like shaman drums, sound bowls, and nature sounds to guide meditations, encouraging self-awareness and relaxation.
Fitness Fun & Obstacle Courses: Engage in exciting fitness challenges and obstacle courses that promote teamwork and physical activity. Kids will build confidence and enjoy playful ways to stay active. Music & Rhythm: Dance to fun songs or enjoy background music like nature sounds and sound frequencies, creating an uplifting and immersive atmosphere for every session.
Community Service Focus: Incorporating the values of kindness and giving back, we’ll explore how small acts of service can positively impact our community and the world around us. This summer camp is a perfect mix of fun, fitness, and mindfulness. Kids will leave with new skills, confidence, and an understanding of the importance of taking care of themselves and others
