Course Description

Learn how to unlock your storyteller’s soul and build resiliency at the same time.  Personal narratives are pathways for personal growth, creating opportunities to deepen self-understanding and inter-generational healing. Join the author of “Surviving Sue”, Dr. Vicki Atkinson as she shares her tried-and-true techniques for writing for resilience and wellness.

Dr. Atkinson holds a doctorate in Adult Education and is a LPC (licensed professional counselor) in Illinois. Her book, “Surviving Sue” – is an eye-opening story about the fallout of keeping secrets, told from a daughter’s perspective as she navigated her mother’s mental health and addiction issues while trying to shield and protect her disabled sister.  Available at Eckhartz Press (paperback) and Amazon (e-book).
