Want to learn how to prepare for a film shoot and produce a quality film? Our Pre-Production/Post-Production for Film and Television Course can help! This course aims to help students understand every aspect of production preparation. Learn about "Above the Line vs. Below the Line" production preparation and the difference between "union" and "non-union" productions. Also, learn the step-by-step process of pre-production and post-production.


Learn how to break down a script efficiently so that the shoot or post-production process will not miss any crucial elements. Learn how new technologies impact post-production. We will cover all the steps in each process stage, including building the post-production team of editors, audio mixers, composers, sound designers, visual effects artists, and post-production management. Also, learn about the vital role of film scoring.


Get first-hand guidance from guest speakers invited to share their experiences and insights. Remember, every production is a business, and we will start from there.

The instructor, Virginia Bailey, is an independent film/video writer, producer, director, and a published author of children's audiobooks, hardcover, softcover, and eBooks. She also teaches Screenwriting II, Advanced Screenwriting Workshop, Pre- and Post-Production for Film, Television & Internet, and Writing Children's Books.
