Course Description

Learn the basics of hand-lettering and calligraphy with a brush pen. This is a beginner-friendly class! We will first practice basic strokes to get adapted to the use of the pen, and then explore a beginner script alphabet. We will add script variations & flourishing as time allows. It is enjoyable for anyone wanting to add pizzazz to their envelopes, calligraphy, handmade cards, artwork, and so much more! Come prepared to have some fun playing with letters!

Tombow Fudenosuke Hard Tip Brush Pen OR Pentel Arts Brush Tip Sign Pen - Black & 1 color (The color pen is for fun. It's not necessary, but I find a little color variety makes practice more enjoyable!)

Paper - Canson XL Marker Pad 9x12 (recommended - more economical), Canson Pro Layout Marker Pad 9x12, Rhodia pad, or any smooth paper you can see guidelines through. -Pencil & paper for taking notes, if desired. The Tombow brush pens & papers can be found at Michael's & Blick.
