Course Description

Italian II builds on the foundation established in Italian I, expanding students’ skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Students will deepen their knowledge of vocabulary and grammar, moving beyond simple phrases to express opinions, describe past events, and talk about future plans. Emphasis is placed on improving conversational fluency, comprehension of longer spoken passages, and writing with more detail.

Cultural exploration continues, with some focus on Italian history, regional traditions, art, and contemporary life. By the end of Italian II, students should be able to handle everyday interactions with greater confidence, understand and respond to more complex questions, and read and write short texts with improved accuracy and detail.
