Course Description

Participants will learn how to combine fiction with non-fiction, and create stories that may be based on facts, but can also be construed as fiction. An interesting and intriguing story can be created as prose, poetry or a combination. There will be assigned reading, discussion, and writing. 

The instructor Lincoln T. Beauchamp Jr. is a Chicago-based musician, writer, publisher, record producer, and promoter. Muddy Waters gave him the name Chicago Beau, and he has recorded and performed with some of the most respected names in music, including Memphis Slim, Archie Shepp, Pinetop Perkins, Fontella Bass, the Art Ensemble of Chicago, the African choir Amakhono We Sinto, and Frank Zappa.
