Course Description

Sogetsu Ikebana emphasizes versatility—created anytime, anywhere, by anyone, with any materials. Master its core: Line, Color, and Mass. This course guides beginners to advanced practitioners in crafting balanced, harmonious arrangements that transcend mere flower arranging.

This course is designed to help practitioners—from beginners to those looking to refine their technique—understand how these elements interact to create a balanced, harmonious, and emotionally resonant arrangement.

No prior experience is necessary!

We provide all the supplies! Just come ready to relax and create – we will furnish vases, floral tools, and beautiful seasonal blooms.

Course Outline

By the end of this session, students will be able to look at a branch or a bloom and see its structural potential. Whether you are practicing Moribana, using a Kenzan (pin frog) to secure stems in a shallow bowl, or Nageire, the 'thrown-in' style showcased in a tall vase, you will leave with the confidence to compose arrangements that are both grounded and graceful.
