Course Description

This course covers essential aircraft instruments and systems for pilots, including the "six pack" of flight instruments and modern "glass cockpits." Learn about constant speed propellers and turbocharged engines, both single and dual, with a focus on their operation, performance, and key characteristics for safe, efficient flight.

Course Outline

Each class will include aircraft accident analysis and prevention as it relates to the topics covered.
Each class will include application to the PAVE model for trip planning and risk assessment.
All material may be credited towards the FAA “Wings” program.
