Course Description

Advanced Accordion Mastery is designed for experienced accordionists seeking to elevate their skills. Building on basic proficiency and the ability to read both bass and treble clef, students will explore advanced techniques, complex musical styles, and performance strategies. The course focuses on refining bellows control, developing intricate fingering patterns, and exploring extended techniques. Students will expand their repertoire across various genres, learn to arrange music, and delve deeper into music theory and composition. Performance skills will be honed through emphasis on stage presence and participation in ensembles and recitals. The curriculum also covers advanced tuning and minor repairs. By the end, participants will have improved their technical proficiency and gained confidence in performing complex pieces. This course is blended, which means some of the meetings will take place online and some in-person.
