Working with the information right in front of you, i.e., what you see, hear, and sense, write concise and compelling first-person essays. A veteran journalist, educator, and author leads this one-day workshop. Join us in a casual workshop setting, where you will learn simple techniques to gain the confidence to convey feelings and facts in your authentic voice.

All sessions, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM will be held at Harper College.
Course Outline
Start the New Year with this writing workshop, where you will learn techniques for creating clear and compelling essays. Writers of all experience levels can gain confidence and focus from the examples presented by an experienced journalist/author/educator. Within the workshop's two-hour timeframe, you can complete an essay you will be proud to share with others.
Spring is an excellent time for new beginnings. Learn how to put your observational skills to work in this creative workshop. Your instructor, a veteran journalist and educator, will review practical writing skills, as well as techniques for fostering focus and clarity. During this two-hour creative session, you will participate in a friendly exchange of ideas with workshop colleagues and then produce a piece of writing worthy of sharing.
