LMU0153 - Group Piano for Adults: Intermediate
Course Description
At the intermediate level, you'll keep your music flowing and continue mastering piano skills with more emphasis on musicianship and repertoire. Pieces are comparable to the level of Bach Minuets and Clementi Sonatinas. We will explore repertoire from a variety of genres, as well as technique and theory. Text: determined by the instructor.Learn to play the piano! Our innovative group piano program for adults is designed to get you started and take you as far as you want to go. Learning together is fun and rewarding! The class meets as a group in our digital piano lab with headphones for individual playing and practice. You will receive personal feedback during class and will learn music in a variety of styles and genres. Each class will end with individual-assisted practice time for extra help and guidance. We have different levels to meet your needs. You may register for the same course as many times as you wish until you feel ready to move to the next level. Currently, there are five levels: Introductory, Level A, Level B, Level C, and Intermediate Level; more levels will be added as students progress further.

Levonne Mrozinski earned a Bachelor of Music degree in piano performance from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, and a Master of Music degree in piano performance and pedagogy from the University of Oklahoma. She has also done post-graduate work at the University of Illinois-Champaign-Urbana. Mrs. Mrozinski has served as president of the Northwest Suburban Music Teachers Association and maintains an independent piano studio in Arlington Heights along with her teaching duties for the Community Music Center.
