Plaster picks up exceptionally delicate details creating a fossil like artifact. Create a tile to cast by pressing objects into a clay bed, removing some and leaving others to become embedded in the plaster. We will pour a plaster cast and remove the clay. We will work on a 10X10 (or similar sized) tile to complete the plaster process in time. If you prefer another size, please contact me one week before class. The frame size used to create the tile will also be used for mounting it. Plaster casts created in the first class will be cleaned up in the second session, colored, embellished, and mounted to hang on a wall. All materials will be provided.
