Course Description

The history of Vienna, Austria, is long and varied, beginning when the ancient Romans created a military camp along it's famous Danube River. Later it became an important trading post and the Capital of The Babenberg Dynasty and then that of The Hapsburg Dynasty.
During the late 19th century Vienna was the birthplace of the Secession Art Movement, the home of the Waltz, of great festivals, important composers, and where Sigmund Freund developed the process of psychoanalysis, when a number of architects and artists worked in the Art Noveau style, and it is still today an important destination for tourists.
