Course Description

Focuses on a more in-depth study of history, geography, literature, and culture of German-speaking people. Includes analysis of daily life and current events. Students practice more complex structures of German grammar, fine-tune pronunciation, gain more advanced skills in composition, and continue to expand their vocabulary. Attention is given to complexity, accuracy, and fluency. Students enrolled in this class will receive all of the instruction and complete the activities that for-credit students engage in but will not be required to take quizzes, exams or receive a grade.

This is a flex course and may be taken in person or online. Online synchronous (real time interactive) and in-person class sessions take place Tuesdays and Thursdays, 12:00-1:40pm. These sessions will be recorded and made available as needed. You must have access to a computer with reliable internet access, web cam, and microphone, and have basic computer skills if you choose the online course option. Students may alternate between attending in person and online as needed.
