Course Description

Social work pioneer, author, organizer, and Nobel Prize winner, Jane Addams is best remembered for founding Hull House in Chicago, a “settlement house” that addressed the needs of Chicago’s poverty-stricken families. This course will trace her life, from her well-to-do upbringing in Cedarville, IL to her work as an activist for world peace.
