Course Description

Abraham Lincoln and John Adams defied habeas corpus, Andrew Jackson refused to follow a ruling by the Supreme Court and Woodrow Wilson’s wife ran the executive branch after his stroke. These actions were true constitutional crises that our founding fathers never anticipated. How did our government respond? Do we have confidence that our government would respond appropriately in the future? Join Professor Gary Midkiff for a review of these crises and others and how our government responded.  Dates are 10/14/19 and 10/21/19.
