Course Description
Sing the beloved Disney classics in this engaging and interactive course designed for young music enthusiasts! This class combines the magic of Disney with the fundamentals of music and dance, creating a fun and educational experience. Students will explore iconic songs from a variety of Disney movies, including selections from Frozen and Tangled, while developing essential musical skills through hands-on activities and written exercises. Throughout the course, participants will learn vocal warm-ups to improve their singing technique, practice Kurwin hand-signs for pitch recognition, and master solfeggio to understand musical scales. The curriculum also includes lessons on basic note identification, rhythm patterns, and dynamic markings to help students build a strong foundation in music theory. Various elements inspired by Disney will be incorporated to enhance the performance experience, encouraging creativity and self-expression.

Madeline McCord is a classically trained Vocal Performance major at Berklee College of Music with extensive experience in performing and teaching7. Her expertise in both classical and contemporary styles makes her the perfect guide for young artists looking to develop their skills.
Learner Outcomes
By the end of the session, students will have memorized several Disney songs and gained confidence in their ability to perform them. The course uses the Disney Solos for Kids book as its primary resource, supplemented with additional songs from Frozen and Tangled.
