Course Description

This class is for absolute beginners. Learn the essentials needed to begin playing the banjo. The class will give you a basic introduction to the instrument and enable you to begin playing songs. You’ll be introduced to chords, right hand techniques, and tuning in a fun, laid-back and supportive environment. We can set you on your path to bluegrass or clawhammer playing through one of our repertoire classes and ensembles. Bring your own banjo, spare set of strings, a three-ring notebook and dividers, and your song book.
