Course Description

The Group Piano for Adults Introductory course starts at the very beginning. Topics and skills include piano key names, basic rhythm, pre-staff note reading, and playing simple melodies with each hand alone. Text: Alfred’s Piano 101 Book 1, Units 1-5.

Learn to play the piano! Our innovative group piano program for adults is designed to get you started and take you as far as you want to go. Learning together is fun and rewarding! The class meets as a group in our digital piano lab with headphones for individual playing and practice. You will receive personal feedback during class and will learn music in a variety of styles and genres. Each class will end with individual-assisted practice time for extra help and guidance. We have different levels to meet your needs. You may register for the same course as many times as you wish until you feel ready to move to the next level. Currently, there are five levels: Introductory, Level A, Level B, Level C, and Intermediate Level; more levels will be added as students progress further.
