Practice your conversational skills in German at the intermediate or advanced level to achieve fluency of expression. The course includes the study of the cultures of German-speaking peoples, daily life in German-speaking regions, and current events. Attention is given to complexity, accuracy, and fluency. Students at this level have normally completed at least 4 semesters of college German instruction or the equivalent. All students who have prior German experience or have taken classes in German at other schools must contact Professor Jaeger at kjaeger@harpercollege.edu for appropriate course placement.

This is a flex course, meaning it may be taken in person and/ or online live. Flex (in-person and online live) class sessions take place Mondays and Wednesdays from 12:30-1:45pm in L-323 and online.

These sessions will be recorded and made available to students. You must have access to a computer with reliable internet access, web cam, and microphone, and have basic computer skills if you choose to participate online. Students may move in and out of the two modes based on learning preferences and/ or their life circumstances, but are encouraged to attend in person, if possible.
