LAH0025 - Pre-Apprenticeship in Health Careers
Course Description
Discover health careers options and see which path fits you best.
In this 5-day program, you will build essential job-readiness skills, explore state-of-the-art health labs, earn your BLS CPR certification, and participate in interactive workshops on resumes and interviews. The program also includes direct connections with industry professionals from local clinics and hospitals.
This pre-apprenticeship program will help you become a strong candidate for healthcare apprenticeship programs. Typically, the “earn and learn” model puts apprentices in paid positions with a company while you also attend college. By the end of the pre-apprenticeship program, you will be able to identify what next step best fits your goals—and you will have the skills and personal contacts needed to apply with confidence and a competitive edge.

This workshop is part of a scholarship program through the Strengthening Workforce Skills program, funded by the Illinois Community College Board (ICCB)'s Noncredit Strategies at Work grant.
Apply here and if you are eligible for the scholarship, you will receive an email notification within 5 business days. Funding is limited.
