Course Description

Set in Victorian-era London, this novel follows poet Eliza Acton as she shifts her focus to write one of the first cookbooks for home cooks. Blending friendship, social class, and a touch of history, it captures how Eliza transformed cooking from a chore into a joyful, lyrical experience. Discussions are hosted by Harper College Library’s One Book One Harper program and held in-person at the Library. Please contact Christine (ckuffel@harpercollege.edu) (847.925.6859) with questions, or to register.
