Learn to confidently navigate the evolving cannabis marketplace by exploring cannabis extraction, product formulation, and safety. You’ll interpret product labels, ensure safe consumption, and gain essential knowledge about cannabinoids, terpenes, potency, and labeling—bridging knowledge gaps for dispensary employees, healthcare professionals, and informed consumers in the legal cannabis industry.

Emmett Billings is a seasoned cannabis industry professional with extensive experience across cultivation, extraction, manufacturing, wholesale, and retail sales in both medical and recreational markets. His journey began in organic agriculture in Oregon and California before transitioning into botanical research with esteemed institutions such as the Chicago Botanic Garden, the Desert Botanic Garden in Phoenix, and the National Tropical Botanical Garden in Hawai’i. When Illinois legalized recreational cannabis in 2020, Emmett seized the opportunity to be at the forefront of this evolving industry. He is currently an operator for a local craft cultivation center while sharing his expertise as an instructor at Harper College, where he educates students on cannabis extraction, product formulation, and the science behind legal cannabis.
