Course Description

Mahjongg is a popular tile-based game that has been played for centuries. It has been found to have several benefits including improved cognitive function, memory, stress relief, attention and focus. Because Mahjongg is typically played in groups, it provides opportunities for social interaction and connection. This can help reduce feelings of loneliness and isolation. In my introductory class I will review the rules of the American version of Mahjongg. Players have the opportunity to play the game of Mahjongg, ask questions and discuss various pitfalls and nuances of the game. Further resources to continue game play will be discussed.
