Course Description

Funded by a grant from the Fabricators and Manufacturing Association, ever wonder how smart thermostats, smart doorbells, or other smart home devices work? We live in an expanding world of connected devices. The Internet of Things, or IoT, is the billions of physical devices around the world that are now connected to the internet, collecting and sharing data. Thanks to cheap processors and wireless networks, anything with a sensor can become part of the IoT. Everything is going online, including homes, cars, people, medical devices, even farming equipment. In this camp, students will explore example IoT applications and design and build their own connected device.
