Fabergé Eggs: Beauty, Tragedy, and Blood

Class Description: Tsar Nicholas II, Emperor of Russia, has gained new names in a series of tragic civil, economic, and military crises: Nicholas the Bloody and Vile Nicholas. His people are no longer serfs (unfree peasants/slaves), but free serfs (still treated as unfree peasants/slaves). The undercurrent of that discontent is spreading across the empire with Nicholas unaware and uncaring. Regardless of his titles (it would take a long paragraph), he holds absolute power as an autocrat, never giving a hint of power away. Reflecting that power, the annual gifts of Easter Eggs from Fabergé become increasingly more fantastic and extravagant.
