It's never too early to add music to your life.

In addition to our group music classes for youth, we offer these specialized programs:

The Preparatory Piano Program

The program consists of a combination of group and private instruction for ages 6-14. Group lessons offer students peer reinforcement, social interaction, ensemble experience and group activities. Private lessons give students the necessary individual attention for technical development, and interpretive and expressive insights. By combining these two approaches, students receive a comprehensive 15-week curriculum. Students will participate in one 30-minute private lesson and one 50-minute group lesson each week. For more information call 847.925.6000, ext 7236.

Suzuki Strings

The Suzuki method is based on applying basic principles of language acquisition to music in an environment that facilitates learning. The ideas of parent responsibility, loving encouragement, and constant repetition are some of the special features of the Suzuki approach. Children ages 4 to 7 will have a weekly private lesson and a weekly group class. They will learn to play the violin with the Mother-Tongue method in a positive, cooperative environment facilitated by trained Suzuki faculty who provide the highest quality private and group-class instruction. A parent must be actively involved in all aspects of the child’s musical development and attend all lessons. Parents will be coached into becoming the home teacher. The tuition includes a private lesson, as well as one or more group classes. No prior musical experience is necessary. For more information call 847.925.6000, ext 7236.
